PUBLIC NOTICE


A Notice to All Foreign National Overstaying Visa Durations

All foreign nationals violating Sri Lanka visa regulations will be penalized forthwith.

Anyone of the following steps may be taken against violators:

   1. Payment of visa fee with a fine
   2. Restrictions on travel to Sri Lanka
   3. Denial of future entry to Sri Lanka
   4. Other action in line with Immigrant and Emigrant Act No. 20 of 1948, its amendments and
       regulations may also be taken against those violating visa regulations.

Therefore, you are kindly requested to regularize your stay in Sri Lanka at your earliest possible.

We welcome all law-abiding visitors into Sri Lanka.
