Procedure of amending a Travel Document

Obtain an application form from
- Department of Immigration and Emigration
     Head Office - Colombo
     Branches - Matara, Kandy and Anuradhapura
- Divisional Secretariats
- Sri Lanka Missions [If living abroad]
- Download an application from the website

Note: To obtain a form by post send a self-addressed stamped envelope [23x10 cm or 9”X4”] to the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Lodging/hand over application
Applicant must personally lodge/hand over the application along with the supporting documents to relevant office on any working day.
- Department of Immigration and Emigration
     Head Office - Colombo
     Branches - Matara, Kandy and Anuradhapura
- Divisional Secretariats in Sri Lanka
- Sri Lanka Missions [If living abroad]

Applications accepted during
- 8.30 AM - 3.00 PM in Sri Lanka
- Contact Mission for opening hours

Note: Senior Citizen [Above 55 years] can lodge an application through a third party.
